Curves Next Door Turns 1

WOW! It has already been a year and I honestly cannot believe it. I am so incredibly thankful for all the continued love and support. This journey has honestly been amazing everything has aligned for me and I cannot be happier. I have learned a lot along the way some great lessons that have really helped me! So today I am sharing 4 things I have learned in my first year of blogging/influencing:

1. It Does not Have to be Perfect

Just start! It does not have to be perfect! I promise the photos will get better, the captions will get better, the followers will come, the brands will see you, but all you need to do is start! I’m so amazed when I look at how far I’ve come, and it truly makes me smile. It will never be perfect so just go for it.

2. Consistency

So as an influencer/blogger consistency has really helped me a lot. Once I started looking at my brand as a business it really changed my perspective. I must be present for you all and myself! So, consistency looks different for everybody, but whatever that is do it! Something that really helped me was planning. I usually have a brain dump on Sunday and write out all my content ideas, I decide on posting days, write blogs/photo captions in advance and it has really helped me be consistent!

3. Know Your Worth

Know your worth then add tax sis!! What you can offer brands and your following is so essential to your success as a blogger/influencer. I know what I bring to the table and I am learning to not sell myself short especially when working with brands. Just know the content you create is needed and people are noticing. Figure out what your followers need and solve those problems. Do they need fashion tips, make-up tutorials, parenting advice, etc

4. Remain True to Yourself

I know there are things that I will not do at this point in my blogging/influencing career. I have learned that I do not have to keep up with what everyone else is doing I just need to be me! Being authentic and staying true to yourself will really keep you grounded and continue to bring the right attention.

Finally, enjoy it! If you are doing this for the right reasons everything will continue to fall into place. Thank you all so much for the love and support.
