When I say I’m in love with these pieces from Fashion to Figure I truly am! It’s everything for me! I went through the photos and knew this was the one. This shot looks so great because I felt super confident. In the right outfit, you can conquer anything and in this one, I’ll do just that! Today I’m sharing 5 tips to help you feel confident in your clothes!

1. Fit is Flattering

Clothes that fit your body really help you feel confident. I feel every woman should find pieces that fit them best! For me, I love high-waisted jeans, off-the-shoulder pieces, and a great midi dress. These items make me feel amazing because they fit my body well! Also, stop wearing oversized clothing to hide your body! Oversized clothing only makes you look bigger stop hiding behind your clothes and find pieces that fit you well. Also sometimes you may need to get pieces tailored.

2. Invest in Good Undergarments

Undergarments are so crucial especially for us plus-size women! For me, I have found the best undergarments especially bras from Lane Bryant and Torrid. I pretty much can find good undies at a lot of places, but I need a great bra!

3. Try New Things

Sometimes stepping outside your comfort zone makes you feel very confident! Honestly speaking when I first tried on this top I wasn’t 100% sure if I liked it, but the unique features like the chiffon sleeves and corset-look made me fall in love with the top. Spicing up your wardrobe always helps build confidence.

4. Silence Negative Self-Talk

So this is my theory we all know what our bodies look like; so stop talking negatively about your features! All of our different body types make us unique; so use them to your advantage. A perfect example of my biggest insecurity is my arms. I recently took photos and my arms were out and I just really spoke negatively about my arms. I knew what my arms looked like before and after the photos; therefore there’s no need for negativity. I embraced it, and if I want to change my arms I can do that too, but talking negatively about your body won’t change it!

5. Have Fun

Just have fun with your wardrobe everyone’s style is unique! When you look good you feel good so buy things that make you feel good no matter what others think!

Keep Shining
